NGC Super Smash Bros. Melee Bundle review:5 stars (Gamecube is underestimated) - Unlike some people I've had them all. I started with a PS2. What a POS load times took forever on games like grand theft auto. The thing stopped working after only a year. I was a big tekken, final fantasy, and smackdown fan. Right around the time tekken 5 came out the PS2 stopped working. So I traded everything I had for my PS2 to my local EB and got an XBOX. Load times were much faster. They really didn't have alot of titles that I liked though. No great fighting games or RPG's and then GTA load times were so much faster. Then after 3 years of service the Xbox was dead. What a great machine that was lasting so long. So I traded everything I had for the Xbox for a Gamecube. All of my friends thought I was stupid, but I think I couldn't have made a better choice. Load time is awesomely fast.4 stars (My favorite system and my favorite game.Awesome deal.) - Like many people I dismissed the Game Cube as a mediocre system with a couple of great games such as this one. I've played it before but I hadnt bought it until the summer of 2004.There are so many great games and cool accesories out now. I've played F Zero GX about 50 times and I just recently bought a Wave Bird and a Game Boy player. It's pretty cool to be able to play games like Super Mario World and old school style F Zero on my tv again. I got the Sonic Gems Collection for my birthday and love playing Sonic CD but my favorite game for the system is hands down Super Smash Bros. Melee. Ive unlocked every character and almost every stage and the sound is much improved when I plug in my V600s and play Game Boy Advance and Game Cube games on the tv. The best sounding effects and music are on SSBM. This deal is a bargain.4 stars (it's worth it !) - Like most people I got a PS2 as my system when it came out. Most people ditched the lame gamecube for a system with more choices and better games. I had got my PS2 specifically to get Kingdom Hearts. The only game out that I wanted at the time was super smash brothers melee. Kingdom Hearts ended up winning out in the end. Now three years later I finally found a good deal. The system isn't that gay purple color anymore. It now has a cool platinum color. The loading times are half the time of the PS2.. The only problem I found was that after you buy a second contoller and a memory card you end up paying $150 instead of the $99.99 But that's o.k. The gamecube doesn't have very many good games compared to the N64. I own an N64 and all the sequels that I found on the gamecube weren't anywhere near as good as what the N64 had. Mariokart Doubledash is the only other game that I really want. Anyways I'll tell you about the game. The game still has fairly weak 1 player mode, but that is the only flaw in the game.
